Slavery Act

Slavery Act

Slavery and human trafficking remains a hidden blight on our global society. It is estimated that there are almost 21 million victims of forced labour worldwide – 13,000 of these in the UK.

We all have a responsibility to be alert to the risks, however small, in our business and in the wider supply chain. At Perspex International Ltd we’re committed to doing business in a responsible way and we expect this from our staff and suppliers.

Our Supply Chains

Our supply chain is extremely diverse and includes the sourcing of engineering components, raw materials, energy and site services. We purchase the majority of our raw materials, services and goods from third-party suppliers who are located worldwide to serve our Global businesses.

Our Policies

We continue to strive to find effective ways of removing modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business.  This statement reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships.

Supplier Adherence to Our Values

We have zero tolerance to slavery and human trafficking. To ensure all those in our supply chain comply with our values we will strengthen our knowledge and work closer with our suppliers. We expect our suppliers to sign our Modern Slavery Code of Conduct, acknowledging their acceptance to our zero tolerance approach.

To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains and our business, we provide training to relevant members of staff. All Directors have been briefed on the subject.

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes Group’s slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending December 2019.
